Trust God!

How a couple of weeks have changed the world we live in.  Who knew even last month that toilet paper and hand sanitizer would be so dear?  Our circumstances have certainly changed.  But our God?  Our God has not changed, not one iota.

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Praise God!  He is the same God today, yesterday, and forever! God is not wringing His hands over the coronavirus and it did not take Him unaware.

Trust God!  He has already armed us with strength for the battle (2 Samuel 22:40). He has already caused us to triumph.  We are, and will continue to be, victorious if and as we trust Him.

If you’re afraid, build yourself up on your most holy faith, praise, and pray in the Spirit (Jude 1:20).  Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God (Colossians 3:16).

What then shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind. 1 Corinthians 14:15

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

What are you specifically believing God for in this situation?  What is your scriptural foundation?  Meditate on that word, become deeply rooted in it because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).

Then, guard your heart.  Keep the word that you’ve planted protected and refuse to speak out your fear.  Refuse to entertain thoughts and imaginings that are contrary to the word.  Then keep at it until the peace of God arises in your heart.

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Romans 4:20
