About Us

Stacy Moore

I have had a passion for learning who God is and how he operates since 1987. I have expressed my passion for God’s word by leading bible studies, writing newsletters, and flooding my friends’ inboxes with emails.

Through the direction of the Holy Spirit, I have started this blog and have begun writing books to share all that He has shown me.

The sole purpose of this site is to glorify God by making Him known.

Why this blog is called predestinated

The name of the blog, Predestinated comes from Ephesians 1:3-14 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

And Romans 8:28-29 28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. 29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

In the Bible, predestination is not about God choosing some people for heaven and others for hell, arbitrarily. God is not capricious. Rather, predestination describes what God has determined in Christ before the foundation of the world.

Scripture teaches us that God predestined us to:

  • adoption as sons and daughters
  • conformity to the image of Jesus
  • participation in His divine life
  • good works prepared in advance
  • an inheritance secured by grace

As we’ve previously read, Romans says plainly that we are “predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son”. In other words, the destination was decided before the foundation of the world, not the individuals, apart from Christ Jesus Himself.

Jesus Himself is the Chosen One. All who are in Him share in that choosing.

God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4), but Scripture is equally clear that our response matters. Predestination establishes what God has lovingly prepared; faith is how we participate in it.

This blog is called Predestinated because it explores:

  • Who we were destined to be in Christ when we accept Him as Lord
  • What God has already provided by grace
  • How faith, knowledge, and love allow us to walk in that calling

Predestination, as explored in this blog, is hope with direction.

God predestinated us to a life of sonship, likeness, and glory in Christ. Faith is how we step into that sonship.

Note: In Scripture, “sonship” is not gender-specific language; it refers to the shared status of inheritance, belonging, and authority given to all of us who are in Christ, men and women alike.

Galatians 4:6-7 6 Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 3:26-28 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
